Making a Case for Journaling The Positive Things
I’m a big fan of keeping a success journal. By the way, if you think I’m talking about a diary, think again. For me, the main distinction (there are several) is that in a diary all the day to day events, negative thoughts and things, tend to make their way into it.
Your success journal is a place where you record and write down the positive events that happen to you in your life. It’s a place to come back to when you need reminding that no matter what the news media may be trying to tell us, the world is not in fact filled with only bad things, and just shy of coming to an end. It is capable of reminding us that there are good things (even if they’re not always monument in nature) that are happening literally all around us. In most cases we need only keep open to the possibility that it is so. Your success journal will help you to do just that.

PS. Here some quotes from motivational speaker and author, Jim Rohn — who also happened to be a big proponent of Journaling.
“There are three things to leave behind: your photographs, your library and your personal journals. These things are certainly going to be more valuable to future generations than your furniture!” — Jim Rohn
“The best collecting place for all of the ideas and information that comes your way is your journal.” — Jim Rohn
“The reason why I spend so much money for my journals is to press me to find something valuable to put in them.” — Jim Rohn
“Be a collector of good ideas, but don’t trust your memory.” — Jim Rohn
